It was looking like the heavens were going to open up and put a real dampener on the annual Paihia CBD Working Bee on Saturday 27 October but thank fully it held off and with a strong team of 25 plus people we were able to get all the seating restained, gardening, pruning, mulching and an all round general tidy up to help make town look spic and span again for our upcoming busy summer season.
It was really great to see some new faces this time around keen to help out in the community; we even had a visitor from Whakatane helping us for the day – how awesome is that! We’re forever grateful to our long term helpers too, where would we be without you.
And boy what a spread for morning tea! So many yummy things on offer, this too is really appreciated and helps to keep spirits high, thank you to those who contributed.
