CCTV INSTALL, MONITORING, AND COMMUNITY PATROL

Here’s an opportunity for you to be involved, would you like to help?

Focus Paihia have started the process of installing the new extensive series of CCTV camera’s that will provide extensive coverage from Watea through to Opua, including several new key coverage sites, and number plate recognition cameras. It’ll be a month or two before they’re fully operational, in the meantime we’d like to prepare for monitoring. Would you like to help?

You may have recently seen Community Patrol cars in our area, these are currently coming via Kerikeri volunteers. We would love Paihia to work with their great team. We’re looking for interest in monitoring the camera network, which could be from either the Paihia or Kerikeri police station, and/or joining in double crew car patrols.
Community Patrol work closely with local police, so you will need to be vetted, trained, and have a probation period. If we can get enough support, a car is available to be based in Paihia. Check out www.krcp.org.nz – recruitment days are being held soon.
