Art, Cultural and Sports Grant

The Focus Paihia Community Charitable Trust believe that by helping those in art, culture and sports in our community will further enhance Paihia to become an exceptional place to live, work and visit, and so in saying this we would like to announce that an art, cultural and sports grant will be offered yearly to local groups, with a contestable fund of $10k.

To apply for this grant you will need to email info@focuspaihia.org.nz with the following information:

  • The name of your group.
  • Your history and how you came about.
  • Why you believe you should receive the grant.
  • The financial assistance you require and what it will be used for.

Applications open 1 July and close 31 July of each year.

Art, Cultural and Sports Grant – 2019 recipients

We are pleased to announce the following organisations have been given funds from the art, cultural and sports grant on offer from Focus Paihia. 

PAIHIA SEA SCOUTS, to purchase life jackets, tables and chairs for their growing group.  

SPECIAL OLYMPICS BAY OF ISLANDS, to purchase tablets to assist with training.  

BAY OF ISLANDS GYMNASTIC CLUB, to help purchase resources for their club.  

BAY OF ISLANDS YACHT CLUB, to help with the purchase of a safety boat for their Learn to Sail and Moana Mayhem Water Safety programmes.

Art, Cultural and Sports Grant – 2018 recipients

We are pleased to announce that the following organisations have so far been offered part of the art, cultural and sports grant on offer from Focus Paihia. 

BAY OF ISLANDS YACHT CLUB, to help purchase a fibreglass Starling to be used by the clubs Learn to sail/Learn to race children.  

BELLA A CAPELLA CHORUS, to help purchase their competition costumes required for their upcoming international competition in St Louis, USA – best of luck ladies!  

PAIHIA FOOTBALL CLUB and BAY OF ISLANDS PHYSIQUE, a combined contribution has been awarded to help upgrade the facilities at the Bledisloe Domain, something that will benefit many people in our community.
