PROJECT DRIVERS HENK KUIPER & BRIAN RAPHAEL
The FOCUS PAIHIA VILLAGE GREEN PHANTOMS were out in force again on Monday 19 October, tidying up the roadside edge of the PAIHIA VILLAGE GREEN for the summer ahead, just in time for theIT FESTIVAL. The general tidy up involved rubbish collection, weeding, some new planting and a load of shell to top up a few uneven bits.
Huge thanks to HENK & JOYCE KUIPER, NICK GALAMA, KATJA CAULTON, TREVOR GRASS, GLORIA HAWKINS, LINDSAY & MARY JOHNSON, CHESTER RENDELL, MARGARET RASMUSSEN, ANNETTE ROBERTS and TIFF HOLLAND. Also thanks toBECKY & NEIL at THE COFFEE STOP, LOUISE RENDELL, MARG VINSEN, SUZI JONES andELIZABETH KILLEN for supplying the bevy of scrumptious delights that sustained the team throughout the morning. GARETH DOULL and sidekick NICK were also seen over the road putting in some final touches on gardens in Horotutu. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our town looking so great!
COMMUNITY BEE – VILLAGE GREEN NORTHERN EDGE- STAGE ONE
On Saturday 28 November there will be a community working bee for Stage One of the northern edge enhancement. This being the area next to the shops. Carpentry and bricklaying skills will be needed! The plan for the day is to start with the timber seating next to the ramp near the post office and brick/wood seating near the road. For this 3 people will be needed who are familiar with carpentry and 3 people needed who have bricklaying skills. Also general helpers to support these.
