Footpath Flag Trail
To add interest and fun on the walk from Paihia to Waitangi, and to honor our international visitors, Phantom Placemaker volunteers designed a footpath flag trail. International flags are painted on the footpath at evenly spaced intervals from the visitor info centre in Paihia and heading toward Waitangi. Work on the trail has been subject to the whims of the weather. It remains an art work-in-progress.
